Last week, Gasto Mushi successfully defended his MSc thesis at Sokoine University of Agriculture. Gasto’s research was about local communities’ perceptions on Lantana camara focusing on its origin, pathways, socio-economic impacts and management responses in East Usambara, Tanzania. The work was supervised by Prof. George Kajmenbe and Dr Charles Kilawe. Gasto presented his work the same week at the annual meeting of the Tanzanian Wildlife Research Institute (TAWIRI).
